What’s wrong with me?

I hated Facebook long ago because you couldn’t personalize anything about it really. Plus everything there was about networking. Getting to know people, usually college/business oriented.

Then I saw Myspace in 2004. I loved it. I could personalize it like a webpage plus connect with friends. Then 2008 Myspace became Facebook Extreme. Graphically enhanced applications and games. Buy me! Earn Points for this game! Spend cash on points to buy virtual presents for friends!

God I wanted to puke.

Then I got an invite last night about a new social network (arrghh) called myYearbook. I already was like …this is just facebook again. It’s oriented for student’s! So I did a search. First result : Cliff Notes partners with myYearbook. Ok I was right!

The person said it was cool because you could play games and earn points to buy things for your profile. I informed them you can do that on Myspace and Facebook. They got pissy and was like “whatever.”

This evening I got another social network invite from a real friend. (Brady)

I may or may not see what it is. It’s called Plurk. I already hate the name. But it seems like a toned down Myspace version of Twitter.

What’s wrong with me? Why do I have so much hate in my heart for all this stuff??

I used to use Myspace once a day. Now its like once a week. And for less than 2 minutes. I don’t message anyone on there, they don’t message me. I haven’t even looked at a friend’s profile page in at least 6 months. (New friends excluded)

I have hate in my heart for social networking. I’m letting it out like Clayton Bigsby says. I hope I can move on and be happy again.

PLUR
